AARCH: The Association of Addiction Recovery Care Homes of New York - HOME
AARCH: The Association of Addiction Recovery Care Homes of New York
AARCH was formed in 1976 by individuals concerned with the advancement of the community residence movement.

They understood that sharing our experience, strengths and hopes would benefit all community residences in the same way that this sharing enhances the chemical dependency person's recovery.

AARCH
is a network of addiction community residences in New York State. Our Community Residences:
Return residents to their community as productive tax paying citizens.
Reduce dependence on public funded programs.
Save lives.
Assist residents to regain dignity and self-respect
Reduce the cost of chemical dependency to society as a whole.

The chances of an individual staying in the recovery process are enhanced by the use of community residences working in cooperation with other treatment programs

Welcome to the AARCH website.
AARCH is a network of Recovery Community Residences across the state of New York.

This association has been around for 30 years. It provides advocacy for community based residences and maintains a strong representation for our members in Albany.

Our association also speaks towards public policy and the many changes that affect our community residences with New York State.

AARCH provides technical information on how to operate within the confines of state regulations. It also serves in the capacity of partnering with other facilities to develop more comprehensive approaches to problems that face the environment of community residences. They also share experiences and strength on best practice ideas to enhance all its members.

Always there, always willing to assist, AARCH has been providing advocacy and strong leadership for over 30 years.

Together, we will continue to provide a voice for community based residential programs. If you have any questions concerning any AARCH committees, Advocacy questions, or membership questions, feel free to contact the officers listed on the organizational chart.

Community residences are the oldest facet of the continuum of care for the treatment of chemical dependency. The chances of an individual staying in the recovery process are enhanced by the use of community residences working in cooperation with other treatment programs.

Chemical dependency community residences teach their residents to practice the principles of long term recovery, they provide cost effective care for chemically dependent individuals that lack a safe and sober support network in their community.
